Card benefits change often, and this page may be out of date by the time you read it. Always check the bank’s page and your card’s guide to benefits for the current terms before you rely on a benefit.

The Chase Iberia Visa Signature is a $95 card that earns Avios in Iberia Club, with 2,500 Avios every anniversary, 10% off Iberia fares through a cardmember link, and a $1,000 voucher toward two tickets on the same Iberia flight after $30,000 of spend in a calendar year.

Because Avios move freely between Iberia, British Airways, Aer Lingus, Qatar Airways and Finnair, it’s effectively a second shot at the same Avios bonus as the British Airways card, and Iberia’s own business class to Madrid is one of the best uses. Below is how it earns, what the perks take, and my verdict.

Chase Iberia at a glance

  • Annual fee: $95
  • Current public offer: 90,000 Avios after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months (as of October 14, 2026, per Frequent Miler)
  • Is it the best ever?: No. It was 100,000 Avios in 2025. Chase’s own card page showed 75,000 on October 14, 2026, so the 90,000 offer may depend on the link you apply through.
  • Foreign transaction fee: None
  • Best for: People who want another big pile of Avios, especially for Iberia business class to Spain, and already have or don’t want the British Airways card.
  • Skip it if: You’re near 5/24 or have no plan for Avios. There’s nothing on this card worth keeping after year one for most people.

Avios post to your Iberia Club account after each billing cycle. They don’t expire as long as you have activity in any 36-month period, and card purchases count (paying the annual fee doesn’t).

Credits and how to use them

Nothing here offsets the fee automatically; the voucher is the big one, and it needs a lot of spending.

Perks

  • How the $1,000 voucher works: after $30,000 of purchases in a calendar year, Iberia sends a code worth $1,000 off a booking of two tickets on the same Iberia flight in the same cabin, outbound and return, with you as one of the travelers. It’s most useful on a paid business class trip to Spain, where $1,000 off two fares is a real discount.
  • No lounge access, free checked bags, priority boarding or companion award.

Insurance and protections

BenefitWhat the bank says
Travel and purchase protectionsChase’s card page lists “Travel & purchase protection” but gives no benefits or amounts, and doesn’t link a guide to benefits
Trip delay / trip cancellationNot stated on the card page
One-way and award tickets: Not confirmed: Chase’s page doesn’t list either coverage, so I can’t say whether one-way or award tickets would be covered. Ask Chase for the guide to benefits.
Baggage delay / lost luggageNot stated on the card page
One-way and award tickets: Not confirmed, same reason.

The British Airways and Aer Lingus cards, which are also Chase Visa Signature cards, list baggage delay, lost luggage, purchase protection and extended warranty, so the Iberia card may well have the same, but Chase’s Iberia page didn’t confirm it on October 14, 2026, so I’m not listing amounts.

For how this compares with other cards, see my card travel benefits comparison.

Transfer partners

Avios are one currency shared by several airlines. You can move them 1:1 between Iberia Club and British Airways Club, Aer Lingus AerClub, Qatar Airways Privilege Club and Finnair Plus, so you can book wherever the price is lowest: Iberia business class to Madrid, Aer Lingus to Dublin, Qatar Qsuites, or short American and Alaska flights through British Airways. Chase Ultimate Rewards points also transfer to Iberia, British Airways and Aer Lingus; ratios for every bank are in my transfer partners guide.

Application rules for this card

  • The card isn’t available if you have it now, or if you received a new cardmember bonus on this card in the last 24 months (Chase’s offer terms, checked October 14, 2026). The rule is per card, so having the British Airways or Aer Lingus card doesn’t block this bonus.
  • Chase’s 5/24 rule applies: you’ll be denied if you’ve opened 5 or more personal cards from any bank in the last 24 months.

The full rules for every bank are in my credit card application rules guide.

My take

A $95 fee with nothing easy to offset it, so the real fee is $95 in my eyes, and the only reason to get the card is the bonus. Since Avios move freely between programs, 90,000 Iberia Avios are as good as 90,000 British Airways Avios, and Iberia’s own business class to Madrid (usually with much lower surcharges than British Airways) is the sweet spot.

The $1,000 voucher sounds big, but it needs $30,000 of spend on a card that earns 1x on most purchases, and it’s a discount on two paid tickets, not a free one. I wouldn’t chase it unless you were already planning a paid Iberia trip for two.

In any case, I personally would hate to sign up at 90,000 Avios when 100,000 was available in the past.

The catch

There’s nothing to keep the card for after the bonus unless you’ll hit $30,000 a year, and the everyday earning is 1x outside the airlines and hotels. Chase doesn’t spell out the insurance on the card page, so don’t count on trip protections without checking your guide to benefits.

Moving Avios between programs is easy but not instant everywhere, so if you’re booking a specific award, transfer first and confirm the Avios have arrived before the seats disappear.

Keep it after year one?

The fee to me is $95 minus nothing easy, which equals $95. For most people I would cancel or sock-drawer it after the first year; keep it only if you’ll spend $30,000 a year for the voucher on a paid Iberia trip for two, or you book Iberia often enough that 10% off and 2,500 Avios a year are worth $95.

Offer history

Quick Answers

What is the Iberia Visa annual fee?

$95 a year as of October 2026. It isn’t waived the first year.

What is the current Iberia card bonus?

As of October 14, 2026 Frequent Miler lists 90,000 Avios after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months, while Chase’s own page showed 75,000, so the offer depends on the link. It was 100,000 Avios in 2025.

Can I move Iberia Avios to British Airways?

Yes. Avios move 1:1 between Iberia, British Airways, Aer Lingus, Qatar Airways and Finnair, so Iberia Avios can be used on British Airways awards and the other way around.

Is the Iberia $1,000 voucher a companion ticket?

No. It’s $1,000 off a booking of two paid tickets on the same Iberia flight, earned after $30,000 in purchases in a calendar year, and it has to be used within 12 months.

Can I get both the Iberia and British Airways card bonuses?

Yes. Each card’s bonus rule only looks at that card, but each one uses a slot under Chase’s 5/24 rule.
